Forex or Cryptos, Which Should I Trade? 😕

Now with that said, some traders are going to be familiar with more technical types of trading and/or won’t be US based. These traders may want to try using leverage, for example on Coinbase Pro or Kraken, or may even consider crypto “derivatives” like futures and options offered by platforms like Bakkt, CME, FTX, or BitMEX. Leverage and derivatives aren’t beginner friendly, but for for seasoned traders new to crypto, they can make sense.

Forex trading has an element of stability the cryptocurrency market lacks. There are only four major pairs for the investors to consider in addition to the occasional cross-currency. This makes the Forex market more stable than the cryptocurrency market. Investors are generally better served by using cryptocurrency as means to diversify their portfolios as opposed to their main investments. Both of the markets do offer a valid option.
Trading on an exchange means you need to understand order types. Unless you are using a broker service like Cash App or Coinbase.com, you are going to have to understand the difference between a limit order and market order. And, on some exchanges, you’ll also need to understand how stops work. If you are trading on an exchange, also make sure you brush up on the concept of slippage. Crypto markets can lack “liquidity,” so please be very careful placing big market orders! Learn more about order types.
How to Trade Crypto and Forex! Most wont tell you this........

Many people claim that Bitcoin is a fluke and the same criticisms that were said about Forex are being brought up with Bitcoin. But as history has proven, both Bitcoin and Forex, despite how new they are in the world of day traders, are here to stay. However, the question still rises, which one is better? Is Bitcoin safer to trade than Forex? Or is Forex better in the long run than Bitcoin?

TIP: A good first foray into cryptocurrency investing is the obvious, buying a major cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. After that, you’ll probably want to trade USD for crypto on an exchange like Coinbase Pro. Once you have done that, you could try trading BTC and ETH for other cryptocurrencies. Trading “crypto pairs” can be rewarding, but it is more complex and often more risky than just buying a single cryptocurrency as an investment. In other words, start by trading dollars for major coins like BTC and ETH on an exchange like Coinbase, and then when you are ready try trading BTC and ETH for other coins on an exchange like Binance or Coinbase Pro.

In the past months, the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum managed to rise and fall in relatively proportional values, directly linked to the volume. This could be a good sign for Ethereum and new investors might consider a greater and safer opportunity to purchase ETH and HODL until the market redresses itself. [caption id="attachment_3077" align="alignnone" width="600"]Ethereum Chart - 14'th March 2019[/caption]With renewed strength, curiosity and enthusiasm, the crypto market is expected to redress itself by April, as most investors are looking towards multiplying the value of their crypto assets. Drove by the wish to become rich overnight, new players also are expected to take advantage of the low prices and purchase many crypto assets. However, only the future will tell us what will really happen.
Crypto trading is often thought of as similar to Forex, or foreign exchange trading. Forex, like crypto, involves trading currencies. However, there are a few key differences between the two. Forex trading is a large, well-established practice, while crypto trading is a relative newcomer to the scene. Forex often involves middlemen, brokers, and other institutions that take fees at every step of the trading process. The lack of a middleman is one of the biggest draws of crypto trading. And another major sticking point between the two is the liquidity available in Forex, versus the lack of liquidity in crypto – once you move away from the most common coins. And of course, there’s security.
The biggest leap forward in the exchange of currencies following the creation of the digital market place came in 2009, with the launch of bitcoin, the first of the cryptocurrencies. A cryptocurrency is a form of digital money. It facilitates extremely fast, seamless transactions between parties, with no third party being involved. Because of this, the control stays completely in the hands of the person using the cryptocurrency, and they maintain complete privacy. It also means that there is no central bank, provider or government able to assert (or try to assert) control over the value of the cryptocurrency, something which makes them prone to more volatility than traditional currencies.

Forex also lacks the same volatility present in crypto, making it hard to take advantages of small differences in exchange rates. However, this comes with the benefit of easily available liquidity. In other words, it’s pretty easy to trade any given currency for another, like trading US dollars for Nigerian naira. Orders like that tend to be filled nearly instantly. Because Forex has such high daily turnover, there are a lot of pairs that exist even if they’re otherwise minor currencies. Forex’s liquidity also ensures that even large trades won’t overly change the asking price of a given trade. For crypto trading, large trades often have a huge impact on price.
